Terms and Conditions 

Kindly read and review the following terms and conditions carefully.  Once you register and pay your initial deposit for the Italian Wellness Holiday, you agree to the terms and conditions outlined below.  This becomes a legally binding contract between you, the participant, Ashley Davis and Celia Owens, hereafter referred to as Italian Wellness Holiday.

Be sure to check appropriate box at the end of this document before submitting your registration.

Booking, Payments and Deposit

To secure your spot at the Italian Wellness Holiday in Alvito, Italy, you must pay a non-refundable $500 Deposit. Payments can be paid through PayPal, Venmo, Check, or Money Order. Fees from payments made through PayPal will be included in your cost.  You may also pay by check (U.S. clients only).  All payments must be in U.S. dollars.

After the deposit is paid, half payment is due 6 weeks prior to the start of the retreat. The remaining balance is due 2 weeks prior to arrival. Once the balance payment is made it is non-refundable.

If you need to leave your Italian Wellness Holiday, you will not receive any refund on the remaining time of your scheduled stay.

If you book your journey less than 60 days before the beginning of the program, payment in full is expected at the time of reservation.

Once we have received your deposit we will send you a pre-departure information package that will include information regarding lodging, health, suggestions for what to pack and general tips to prepare for the program. Two or three weeks prior to the start of the program we will e-mail you final details for arrival and a final itinerary.

Cancellation Policy and importance of travel insurance

For your protection it is very important to purchase sufficient travel insurance in the event that either you or Italian Wellness Holiday must cancel a program, your airline company cancels its flights, or you experience illness, travel delays or loss of luggage.

Italian Wellness Holiday does not endorse any particular travel insurance company, but you may wish to see Travel Guard or InsureMyTrip to assist you in shopping for your particular needs and to begin comparing quotes.

Please note that all cancellations by either the client or Italian Wellness Holiday must be made in writing.

Italian Wellness Holiday cancellation policy is firmly enforced.  Many months before a program, Italian Wellness Holiday enters into agreements and incurs costs, including, but not limited to payments to collaborating third parties for lodging, transportation, excursions and activities.

If you must cancel your participation in a program, and once we have received your cancellation in writing, the following applies:

Regrettably we are not able to refund your initial deposit. (See Cancellation Policy above).

Up to 60 days in advance of the program start date there is no additional cancellation penalty.

Less than 60 days prior to the program start date no refunds will be issued.  

Cancellation of programs by Italian Wellness Holiday

We reserve the right to cancel any program prior to departure.  If we need to cancel a journey, for instance due to an insufficient number of travelers, we will attempt to notify all clients within 45 days of departure and you will be issued a full refund.  

Events outside of the control of Italian Wellness Holiday, including but not limited to State Department travel warnings or advice, may force us to cancel a program. Having a personal travel insurance policy is highly recommended.

If Italian Wellness Holiday is hindered from executing the agreed upon travel itinerary and program for reasons such as acts of God, force majeure, war, terrorism, political unrest, transportation or negligence on the part of third party providers or any other cause outside the reasonable control of Italian Wellness Holiday, Italian Wellness Holiday is under no obligation or liability to you and will cancel the trip in writing. Again, we recommend that you purchase a personal travel insurance policy.

Italian Wellness Holiday reserves the right to change the itinerary and/or third party providers at any time.  Further, Italian Wellness Holiday will exercise the right to remove a participant from a program in progress if it is deemed in the best interest and safety of the participant, or the safety and health of other participants. No part of the program fee will be refunded if a participant either voluntarily or when asked to leave, departs the program early.  

Required Travel Information

Please be sure to submit your arrival and departure information (air or other mode of transportation) no later than on the due date for the final payment, i.e., within 60 days of the start of the program.  

For any travel requiring a passport, you must also submit a copy (can be scanned) of the pages of your passport showing legal name, passport number, valid dates and citizenship.


One important reason to have travel insurance is unforeseen delays in traveling to your destination meeting place.  Be sure to book your flights to allow for plenty of room for transfers, delays and to retrieve luggage before meeting your group.

In order to avoid late arrival to your program you may decide to arrive a day early. Unfortunately we cannot assist you with lodging or transportation other than recommendations.  If you do arrive late it is your responsibility to contact Italian Wellness Holiday to notify of the delay, give frequent updates and to join the group as soon as possible.

Passports and visas

Please be advised that you must have a valid passport to travel to all destinations outside of the United States.  The passport must be valid for at least six months after the conclusion of the program.  For trips to certain countries you may also need a visa.  While we are happy to assist you in finding information, it is your responsibility to procure a passport and to meet visa requirements. We will list specific requirements for U.S. and Canadian citizens.  If you hold a passport from another country, please note that visa requirements may differ. We will do our best to advise you.

You may need to pay an exit fee upon leaving a country. There may also be required immunizations for certain countries with which you will need to comply in order to enter.  These fees are not part of the Italian Wellness Holiday fees.  Italian Wellness Holiday does not assume any responsibility for denial of access to any part of the program due to negligence on part of the participant to comply with health, passport or visa regulations.

Not included in the programs

Airfare (or other mode of transportation) to and from the initial place of meeting and departure in country to and from your home.

  • Single room occupancy (This may or not be available at an additional charge depending on location).
  • Unless part of complete menu offerings, beverages - with the exception of water - are not included.
  • Occasional meals.
  • Personal expenses.
  • Additional or optional wellness treatments, activities or tours not listed in the itinerary.
  • Gratuities related to wellness activities and treatments, lodging and for Journey leaders.
  • Items not specified in the final itinerary.
  • Travel insurance - this is highly recommended.
  • Emergency evacuation.
  • You will need a passport valid for 6 months after completion of travel for all travel outside the United States (if you are a U.S. citizen). Other passport holders - please be sure to check requirements.
  • Visas for certain countries depending on citizenship and agreements.
  • Immunizations required for entry into certain countries.
  • Exit fees for certain countries.

Limitations, Liability and Third parties

Please note that Italian Wellness Holiday does not own or operate any of the lodging, transportation, restaurants, activities, equipment rentals, spa treatments or other healing providers that are contracted to provide services for the programs.  Italian Wellness Holiday acts as an agent on behalf of you, our client, in procuring these services from third party providers. Therefore Italian Wellness Holiday is not responsible or liable for any irregularities in services provided, including but not limited to negligence, injury, damage, loss, delay, accident or death caused by these third party providers.


You must be in good mental and physical health to participate in a Italian Wellness Holiday program.  In some locations, access to medical care may be limited and any medical evacuation will be at your expense.

It is the responsibility of the client to disclose any medical conditions or illness prior to completing the registration for the program.  Italian Wellness Holiday reserves the right to deny a client to participate in a program on grounds of medical conditions or fitness.  Please contact us prior to registering if you have questions, or to better determine if the program is the right fit for you.

Use of images and video

Italian Wellness Holiday reserves the right to take photos and make video and voice recordings during the program. These are property of Italian Wellness Holiday and may be used in promotional materials which may be shared on the Internet or in public. If you do not wish to have photo or video used for this purpose you must notify the program leader in writing prior to the last day of the program.

Assumed Risk

Any travel whether domestically or overseas carry certain risks. Your participation in the Italian Wellness Holiday program is voluntary.  Certain activities may involve exertion, physical challenge and a commensurate risk of injury. Please bear in mind that in more remote areas immediate access to medical care is not guaranteed.

In consideration of Italian Wellness Holiday acceptance of your reservation to voluntarily participate in the program, you agree to hold harmless and release any future claims towards Italian Wellness Holiday and its representatives.  You recognize and accept that Italian Wellness Holiday is not liable for losses and damages, including illness, injury, dismemberment or wrongful death of participants during any part of the program, activity or event organized by Italian Wellness Holiday. Further, you also recognize and accept that Italian Wellness Holiday is not liable for any losses resulting from any activity during the program, or travel to and from the program, not organized by Italian Wellness Holiday.


As a condition of your participation in the program, and your agreement with Italian Wellness Holiday you must read and fully agree to the terms and conditions as outlined above. You further agree to release Italian Wellness Holiday from all liability from any activities in connection with the program and that this release will be legally binding.
