East Beach - Bald Head Island, NC

Well this year has been full of exciting happenings, lots of traveling, many delicious meals, so many incredible introductions with so many inspiring people, and I have made memories that I will cherish for the rest of my life.

It has been probably the most freeing & best year of my life.  I have been able to spend much needed time with family in Illinois, where I was able to also reconnect with so many people from my childhood.  Many of those connections made through yoga, which is so wonderful.

Well, this was an unexpected dining experience in Jaco, Costa RIca.  I have been in the country for a little over a month, and have sampled much of the local food.  From the motorcycle riding chico with empanadas I now dream about, to my Tico families hearty traditional cuisine, to an array of Costa Rican buffets… I'm trying to get a taste of everything.   However, I had yet to partake in my favorite style of dining, with an exquisite bottle of wine and an assortment of locally grown cuisine meticulously thought out and plated with an artists touch.  Then last night a stop in to Lemon Zest offered a new side of the local style dining that I was craving.
