Light refreshments will be available.
5:30pm - Introduction to OM
6:00pm - Discussion on Raja Yoga
7:00pm - Guided Meditation
7:20pm - Q&A
7:30-9:00pm - Asana Practice & Closing
Have you ever wondered why we "OM"? Learn the meaning behind the symbol & the purpose of this amazingly vibrational sound.
We will discuss Raja yoga, or Royal Path. This 8 Limbed Path of Yoga is considered a systematic approach to attaining enlightenment and the discovery of our true self.
Do you think that you can't meditate? Everyone has their own sort of meditation & we will discuss different approaches, helping you to find the form of meditation that will work for you & your life!
We will take time throughout the evening for questions, but hopefully will open up discussion with the group on what they have discovered.
Finishing the evening, we will have a gentle alignment based asana class, incorporating the use of props. Using props, such as bolsters, blankets, straps, & blocks assist in making different postures accessible to all body types. All of the props will be provided by The Breathing Tree.
