Hello Richmond! ... Good bye Hair?

I've been playing with the idea of cutting my hair for a while now... and today was the day. After a week of my hair being a pain in my ass while surfing, and also taking into consideration my next few months of extensive travel... a little less hair would do a girl some good. There were plenty of people advising against this small little change... that it made me want to do it even more.  And of course... if you have long beautiful hair, if you decide to chop it, then you should give it away. Se la vie 10 inches & hello fresh, curly and light. Here ya go Locks of Love :)

Why does cutting one's hair make you feel renewed in a way?  It doesn't really matter if I know the answer, because I'm liking the feel and the look! Thanks to Ruth at Images on Main Street for taking me right when I walked in the door, loving my new locks! Also, a huge THANK YOU to my friend Sara who understood upon my arrival at her house in Richmond that I was serious about needing to cut my hair immediately!

Before Mermaid Hair...

And there it goes...

Thank you Ruth & Images Main Street studio in Richmond!

Waves for Days... Virginia Beach

Heading out of the VB today, what a trip it's been... due to lots of uncombed weather the trip changed a bit for me... (Not getting enough sunshine to tan up before my upcoming trip to Bali ;) ... However, the rain & winds brought a steady week of surf worthy waves. Mad props to all these East Coast surfers on Croatan Beach tearing it up... it's a tricky wave & I enjoyed watching just as much as attempting to ride.  Needless to say, I was stoked on getting storm swell daily, along with an amazing place to focus on my practice and my work.  I'm feeling energized and excited for my upcoming stops on the Bad Ash Yoga Tour :) Thanks for a great time Virginia Beach, next stop Richmond!

That's me out there! :) Shot courtesy of my friend Jen, thanks girl!

Virginia Beach - waves, relax, rejuvinate

Spent the last week in Virginia Beach; getting organized for my Bad Ash Yoga Tour, preparing for my trip to Bali with Sadhana Yoga School at the end of October, surfing ( chee hoo! waves have been pretty crazy because of recent Nor'Easter weather patterns), and just taking sometime for myself.

More & more lately I see the need of taking everything in, having some reflection time & a chance to really breath.  The last year went by in a flash, and this upcoming year I already see the time evaporating with work plans & adventures.  That news to come.

Thanks to Virginia Beach & my friends that allow me to come visit.  Cheers to waves, epic sunrises, good friends new & old, relaxation & rejuvenation. Reminding you to take a little time for yourself...
